Stephen and Sarah went to Fort Walton Beach, FL a place they experienced and loved in Fall 2024 when visiting a friend's wedding celebration. It further came up when Stephen, his brother Brandon, and friend Lucas visited in Summer 2025, as well as brother Michael later on that summer for Prestonwood Church's Beach camp.

On September 27th on a beach outside of Destin, FL in Navarre, FL Stephen hired a decorator and photographer and dropped onto one knee during a "quick stop" on their way to dinner to celebrate their 18-month dating anniversary.
